    Via @emptywheel:

I've written about the logic behind #Harris' campaigning with Liz #Cheney. But one thing it'll do IN ADDITION to electoral help is create a nub of Republicans who can fight back against fuckery in real time

    Adam #Kinzinger:

I will do a longer video on this, but the real pressure point after the election will be in state houses. MAGA will pressure republican state houses where Kamala wins to simply not certify. Then what?

Likely Supreme Court, possible violence. Be aware

That is done by the governor, as was made law in 2022. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_Count_Reform_and_Presidential_Transition_Improvement_Act_of_2022#State_procedures

It also amended the Presidential Transition Act. The Act was passed on 23 December 2022 by the 117th Congress, and signed into law by President Joe Biden as Division P of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023. Background The act is intended to prevent a repeat of the chaos that followed Donald Trump's refusal to concede and fake electors plot following the 2020 United States presidential election. This led to a delay in the transition to the Biden administration, as well as a movement to have Vice President Mike Pence block the formal certification of the election results. The act addressed issues such as these by allowing some transition to begin even when an election result is unclear, and clarified the vice president's role in the certification of electoral votes.
