   @get Typically such hardware just gets slapped into evidence storage, analyzed and put back into the evidence storage until the owner is deemed to be innocent (whoops, another innocent we stole hardware from for >1 year), or if the owner is convicted, the hardware ends up being destroyed (or someone takes it for "destruction", but only destroys the storage medium and resells the laptop without storage online).
   
   I don't get why would would correlate enjoying freedom with collecting pizza - such sort are complete idiots the vast majority of the time and don't know what a good laptop is and therefore do not use thinkpads - they use Dell or HP etc laptops running windows, or macos.
   
   The thinkpads that are only liebrebootable are crap - only the GNUbootable ones are good.

     I wonder what happens to the thinkpads that are confiscated during cp raids. Are they sold somewhere? Seems like it'd be a good way to get a libre booted thinkpad for cheap
