     @get @anemone in Europe all brown immigrants are illegal they don't let them in legally. Just that around 2014-2016 a enormous flood of immigrants arrived from Middle East and some countries gave them asylum. We are talking 10s of millions. But I think the policy of Europe has changed drastically in last years due to public outcry

     @anemone a serious violent crime or organized crime not just a petty crime is only way to expulse you and I think as permanent resident they take into account how connected you are to the country, if your primary residence is here and how long you lived here even if the crime is serious. The are many foreigners that commit fraud even rape or drug dealing that aren't sent back because they got permanent residency. Some even live off crime so unless it's murder you are ok

     @anemone you shouldn't take my word for it but investigate it further in case I am wrong. I think once you got permanent residency like 6 years of working and have bought a house you are just like a citizen with the same rights exception being if you commit a crime

     @anemone I am sure with a really really good salary playing your cards right you can retire really early. Maybe investing in a camping van or something. Using money really only for things you really need. I mean some places in Southern Europe is extremely cheap with housing compared to US. Problem I am not sure if they allow Americans to emigrate to Europe just with savings and not work related or by marrying a European

     @Diceyocean@annihilation.social i don't have a remote job so idk that a camping fan would be a good investment. I would like to immigrate to europe but don't make enough to do a golden visa and by the time I do it'll probably have higher requirements :/ housing is def cheaper over there though
