   Malaysia is officially part of #BRICS

   I was honestly shocked because I 100% believed that they will tell us "We'll get back to you in 5 years."

   BTW, this is a move that a lot of Malaysians support so please don't start telling me we're now part of the evil empire ok? I will just mute you (for your sakes because I can get spicy)

   Many people don't understand Global South perspectives, so I don't expect anyone to start understanding now ....

     @CaraBruar it's a complicated decision and shouldn't be made lightly. For eg I ttly understand why Indonesia and Singapore wants to be cautious about it. For Malaysia it makes sense. For your country it may not be a good decision.

     @liztai I wish my country would follow the BRICS path. Right now we are on a road to nowhere good.
