@Grumblesock @PodunkPotato @NoDoxGregBrady Cornbread is good for breaking up and putting in texas style chili instead of crackers. That may be my favorite way to enjoy it. But I like johnny cakes for breakfast every once in a while too, pancakes made with cornmeal instead of flour.

I like corn well enough but you guys have a whole food culture based around it, which does make a certain sense. I just like the occasional cob with some butter or sprinkled with a little salt. Corn fritters and nice too.

jalepeno infused is an accepted variation. Sugar? What are we doing, here?

I imagine it could be done well, I've eaten sweetened bread before and though it's not really my thing it can be done well. Again I'm not big on cornbread, it's a very American thing and we just don't see it here, only time I tried it was when I was over there and there are so many more American baked goods I'd eat again before that.

@Grumblesock @PodunkPotato @NoDoxGregBrady I have recipes for plain cornbread, sweet cornbread made with honey, and Texas cornbread made with chilis. Each serves its own purpose.

Honestly I've had cornbread once and wasn't too impressed but it was in a mediocre restaurant. I'll bet anyone can do better making it at home with variations to the formula, chilis sound like a good addition.

So with sweet cream butter on top?

Maybe or perhaps with sugar or honey added into the recipe. It sounds weird but I'm going purely on guess work here.

@penguin @Grumblesock @PodunkPotato @NoDoxGregBrady Modern corn is, well, diabetes at the very least.
