🤔 US considered Zelensky's "victory plan" a "failure", since it involves escalating the conflict, - a senior Ukrainian official told The Economist.

According to him, the plan should be interpreted as a way to force Russia to negotiate with Ukraine on more favorable terms for Kyiv. However, this is precisely what officials in Washington did not like.

"They say it is doomed to fail, although part of the problem is that they do not say this to the [Ukrainian] president's face," source explained.
