   Edit: Es könnte am Unterverzeichnis liegen. Erstmal scheint mein Problem geklärt bzw. erörtert. Danke!

   Ich möchte meinen WordPress-Blog
   https://shortriver.de/blog
   mittels ActivityPub-Plugin mit dem Fediverse verbinden.
   Es klappt nicht und als Fehlermeldung bekomme ich »Der WebFinger-Endpunkt ist nicht erreichbar«.
   Ich habe keine Ahnung, was das sein soll, aber das WebFinger-Plugin habe ich auch installiert.

   Was heißt das alles und was kann ich tun? Kann ich was tun?

     @barning @shortriver dein blog "lebt" in einem unterordner, das heißt du musst etwas hand anlegen: https://github.com/Automattic/wordpress-activitypub?tab=readme-ov-file#what-if-you-are-running-your-blog-in-a-subdirectory

     Danke für eure Antworten. Vielleicht probiere ich es mit etwas mehr Muse und Motivation irgendwann mit dem Unterverzeichnis.

     @shortriver Die Wahrscheinlichkeit ist groß, ja. In der Antwort von @c47, bzw, dem verlinkten Artikel findest Du aber einen Pfad den Du auch ohne das Webfinger Plugin (zu Fuss) einrichten kannst um das zum Laufen zu bringen.

     Die Option wäre einen Alias auf den Pfad Deines Blogs zu legen, der den als Subdomain bereitstellt (aus www.domain.de/blog wird blog.domain.de).

     Liegt es evtl. daran, dass der Blog im Unterverzeichnis /blog liegt?

     Die Fehlermeldung ist jetzt tatsächlich weg. Nun muss ich etwas herumprobieren (ich habe wirklich nicht so viel Ahnung davon) und abwarten, ob mein Blog-Profil hier erscheint.

     @shortriver das mit den älteren posts ist so ein ding... Mastodon holt sich keine alten posts und wir schicken sie auch nicht nachträglich. bei alten blogs mit tausenden posts könnte das ne weile dauern und den server lahm legen.

     wenn du ein paar alte posts auf Mastodon sehen möchtest, gibt es einen kleinen trick: kopier einfach den link zu dem artikel in das such feld von mastodon und such danach 🙂

     oder du änderst etwas an dem post, dann schickt das plugin ein update.

     Hurra, es klappt! Ich sehe auf zwei verschiedenen Servern leider keine älteren Posts. Muss später mal testen wie das mit neuen Beiträgen aussieht :)
