I don't have a good answer for this. It needs more careful thought and analysis I guess.-

I do it. I write off the square footage of my apartment used for my home office space. Sure, a lot of people will still come in under the standard deduction but it doesn't take any effort to measure a room and do simple math

i do the same, but it can be a trigger for the government. as long as you keep good records it's fine.

it was tongue-in-cheek. but if one is a nomad, there could be a technicality somewhere, but i don't go into this rabbithole.
