Less jokingly, I've generally been looking the way of distributed SQL databases, it seems to me they could more cleverly adjust their behavior & performance than static shards.
I haven't had need for them though, I do not own anywhere near enough machines to make them relevant as more than a curiosity.- clacke likes this.
