They tried to convince me that my younger son in grades 1-4
had ADHD and to give him poison drugs
Just bc he'd gaze out the window daydreaming a lot
No other behavioral problems
I answered that he must be bored
That i had no problem holding his attn or teaching him anything
That they could stuff their drugs
Turns out he's quite brilliant!

To this day, my birthing person still wish I was taking drugs...

No, the problem I have is with empathy.
Her health will start to deteriate quite soon, and I don't know, if I will be able to say NO to helping her.
But, if I stay with her for more then a week, then things might get really ugly.

Nah. I am not a christian, and I will not ruin my life just to make her feel better.
This is why people are leaving churches at mass btw. Morality is much deeper, then just some platitudes. I will help my mother and family. But she can F off to the rest of her bunch of harpies.

The churches ignore any scripture that would inconvenience their members.

Now, your specific duty (probably) isn't to go be a travelling preacher, and you aren't Jesus himself, but the point is clear: You should not to let errant family members drag you down into their own bad behavior or distract you from the good things that you need to be doing, whatever they are.
Blood creates a bond, but subsequent actions can sever it.
