   Saltines and cheese aren't comfort food. I feel like most ppl in this thread are confusing comfort food with food they ate while they were depressed

     I just can't understand how someone could find saltines, refried beans, rice, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese from a box, or cheese its comforting. That seems depressing to me idk

     But it's not "things I like" it's comfort food which I associate with comfort.. I mean idk maybe the misunderstanding is about american eating habits
