And PD… I like how it just made proprietary wallwarts entirely obsolete but I just wish it would be something at least close to a *power* connector, not over something that's made for data and a tiny bit of power for gadgets (like 2.5" HDD is pushing the limits).-

of course you can make it more robust by making it higher quality but that's not the kind of world we live in, so as i see it it's a contribution to things becoming e-waste sooner than they should

Meanwhile barrel connector, yeah, there's few where you end up putting few sheets of paper under the cable to maintain a connection, but you could also just fix/replace the connector, which for USB-C… good luck.
