   @HockeyDoxie Texans are the best at building lakes...this is lake medina which i think is a little closer than canyon lake to bandera...

     @HockeyDoxie what i recommend is going for a long weekend to one of the lakes...and stopping by there and some of the other locals...it's a great time...

     @HockeyDoxie yes...10/10 for hill country food...but despite popular opinion...hill country food is a 7.5/10 for normal humans...

     @HockeyDoxie like there are lots of trees around...but really only some plums and prickly pears grow natively...the soil is really poor...so if you didnt want to starve you'd have to hunt game...everything is imported...it's just a weird mix of tex mex and cali/southwestern food...
