Wrote my first “Hello World” webapp in #Rust last night. Coming from Java/Groovy/Kotlin and Python, I’m digging it as a language, framework, and ecosystem.

@brian is this wasm running in the client or a web framework handling a url? It's really cool to hear it scratches those ecosystem itches!

@brian to be honest this is even more exciting to me than the alternate - it's great to hear the move to a rust based framework worked! I've always felt really impacted by the syntax of the framework so a language transition being smooth is pretty cool.

@powersoffour this is a web framework, Rocket, running server side in Rust. Similar to FastAPI on Python, for writing RESTful web services.
