   Instead of technology making lives better, the 2020’s are seeing technology used to maximize profit. The bulk of that is ways to eliminate westerners from actual jobs and using AI or foreigners to replace them. This is likely to accelerate in the short term until it becomes difficult to either communicate with or trade with Asia.

     @NitroDubs This has been the trend for a very long time behind the scenes. Automation of all types replaces people and very rapidly increases productivity and thus profitability. Wages stagnate or decline as they become more scarce - after all, aren't you lucky to have a job?

     @KarlDahl @NitroDubs what's funny is that as business operations become more streamlined, it also makes the case for CEOs to only get a middle class paycheck. It's not that hard, just run an excel and press some buttons.
