However, it's hard to beat the Hare Psychopathy Checklist as an identifier (the test has been around for some time)

@judgedread I've said this so many times by now it's tiresome, nevertheless:
Psychopaths cannot be negotiated with. You cannot sign agreements or treaties with them. They literally do not have the mental framework to maintain bargains even if they wanted to (and they don't). The best way to deal with them is killing them. All of them. If that is not possible for whatever reason you inflict enormous pain on them, preferably crippling them permanently, and you warn them that they will be killed the next time. If that is not possible you take control of something they value enormously and credibly threaten to destroy it.
These are the only tactics that modify their behavior.

Something about lack of brain activity in the frontal cortex.
Would you say this is accurate, or is there a more accurate method?

@pirin04 @BarelyEagle @judgedread Honestly a basic IQ test and simple health screen would be fine, along with a brief psych eval. No need to involve EEG. It has limited utility aside from sleep, epilepsy and seizure studies

The question then is are these "high functioning psychopaths" or simply "guys that psychopaths are the defective version on"

@BarelyEagle @pirin04 @judgedread No it can be used on females, but they tend to score lower even when obviously manifesting antisocial behavior. Karla Homolka only scored 5/40

Women wouldn't need to be screened beyond a basic cooking and BMI test.
But let's say that you're trying to screen members to your minecraft discord server to filter out undesirables.
Undesirables being mid-level psychopaths, subversives, and DID folks. (High functioning psychopaths bring more value to the table than most people realize)
Would a basic battery of tests: IQ, aptitude, polygraph, EEG, and blood test, get the job done?
I like the idea of a portable fMRI, but from a cost perspective, it would be a stretch.

I think the wiring is the crux of the problem. Some psychopaths are wired up to be CEO's and overbearing fathers, but they provide value to society without harming it.
Other psychopaths, however, maim and kill the innocent simply for the sake of killing; it is this second type which must be dealt with swiftly and brutally.

self-regulation is the key. but it's the key to all human success.
as long as you can sublimate your impulses into something productive, the world will love you
while the wiring is different that doesn't mean you can't function. I can do what you do, but I don't feel what you feel. and I can learn better than you.
early nurture experiences really shape the outcome. My early exposure to Christianity was helpful. the new testament provided a set of behavioral boundaries that I could work with. then I read the old testament and really started appreciating the book.
