#copyright laws didn’t exist before the printing press. There didn’t exist a need to protect authors from mass plagiarism by machine.

Likewise, before generative #LLM #AI there was no need for copyright enforcement to cover infringement by statistical methods.

When technological paradigms shift, the threats humans need to be protected from shift also.
