     @pesekcuy depends. I bought my switch for homebrew stuff, but these days steam deck is better in literally every regard. If you enjoy old shooters or something simple and have a couple hundred bucks to throw around, then sure. Otherwise, don't bother. It's never better than a full rig.

     @pesekcuy also, I bought my switch before steam deck was even announced. And it's hacked, so I pay nothing for games.

     @newt yeah by handheld gaming I meant was more like the deck kind (albeit we prefer anus ally due to its availability and support) than the switch kind

     @newt but at a glance I thought Anus Ally was less optimal kind of a handheld console than Steam Deck

     @pesekcuy you can install linux and run vidya on switch. It's just switch was already underpowered in 2017 upon its release.
     
     I wish for something smaller, PSP-sized. But the market has nothing in this regard.
