   To be fair jesus never once preached that other people should be forced to help others with their money (taxes or otherwise). He preached that people should be compelled to want to help directly.. Sounds like Jesus was preaching against taxes and for personal charity, which is in line with what christians and conservatives normally say, that people should be generous and donate to charity instead of being forced through taxes.
