   @bmacDonald94 one idea in the gnostic tradition answers that question very well to me. the idea of two realms created by two different gods. basically we are in a testing plain of a lower god (god of old testament) with the opportunity to ascend to a higher realm (god of new testament) through a personal introspective journey. here is an interesting video if you get the time. thanks for posting! https://youtu.be/tb2TYU7FuxE?si=wiKZhnjBh_Yw8yv1
