   seems to be some suggestion that brains don't really voltage control so much as send adjustment spikes out
   
   or at least thats how some weird technology is modelling it. not sure how i feel about that one.

     Anytime somebody says "looky look, I made a tech thing that emulates a brain" they are 100% wrong.
     
     Granted, the tech thing can "think" within a certain competence domain, but it isn't doing it the way a brain does it. Not even close.

     @KuteboiCoder spike models get pretty close. sometimes.
     
     at least the ones i read about this week were looking at more realistic learning (ex. protein traces instead of backprop) and some tests with messing with neuroplasticity parameters to make things
     
     i haven't seen them experimenting with lockout groups for some reason, but eh.
     
     unfortunately with this being out in the woods its basically frontier research just testing putting them together again
