    the bulgarian government wanting to give the energy market to corporations is among their most retarded ideas, absolutely no one challenging it in parliament. like yeah lol let's just give full control over the price of something as essential as electricity to lizards who have the people's worst interest in mind, and only profit as a motivation. Totally not going to go up like it does in every other country.

      @pernia they may be inefficient but at least they don't really care about that, it's just annoying bureaucrats there. their job is to provide electricity, they get paid from taxes, whereas electricity companies' job isn't to provide electricity but to make a profit

      @pernia they also hire contractors like EVN to do the actual work, which is fine ig, even though they pull stupid shit and make the prices go up because they're greedy niggers

      yeah, that's obviously why

      it's interesting that France would be affected given that like ALL of their electricity is generated by nuclear, which is dirt cheap and massively efficient

      @meso The price is already partially controlled by the EU and it's energy market. They are one of the reasons why this year electricity all over EU skyrocketed even though France was almost the only one affected. As for why nobody is challenging it, maybe they own parts of those companies and in turn would make a profit of that increased price.

      @meso so you'd rather get blackouts and shitty prices (see: innefficiency), have beurocrats take most of the cost rather than engineers, than have someone make money for setting the whole thing up themselves?

      @pernia the engineers make the same money regardless of whether it's the government or a company, because you have to remember there's executives who own the company and make the decision to arbitrarily spike prices for made up reasons like ukraine or whatever, it should be seeked to have reforms in the government to pay more to engineers than to bureaucrats rather than a retarded idea like giving all of the power (literally) to greedy execs who just want money

      @meso @VIPPER Can't comment as I don't have enough information. Bulgaria doesn't own most of it's electricity distribution? Here ČEZ owns the majority of the distribution routes and E-ON owns the rest. Natural gas routes are owned by German E-ON and now Hungarian innogy group.

      lolno

      a shitty engineer and a good engineer make the same in a government company. and you cant get rid off the shitty one. also politics make the entire thing a mess of cancer.

      >but, the greedy ceo's and execs!!!

      you get this idea of "private = greed" from commie trannies that have groomed you on this website, so now any business venture that isnt managed by some government body or commission is "greedy evil capitalism".

      "le evil greed" comes from the government stepping in, and making shitty regulations that benefit only certain people, at the service of "social wellbeing".

      @pernia@cum.salon @meso@the.asbestos.cafe

      Greed and ambition is what aligns the talented workaholic engineers with the founders in a start-up firm. It's what creates upward mobility.

      Greed is humanizing. Greed is what makes us human.
