   Liebes #Fediverse, liebe Follower.
   Meine #Pleroma Instanz ist auf dem Server an Grenzen gestossen resp. hat sie schon überschritten. Ich muss mir, vom Provider verlangt, in 48 eine Lösung überlegen, sonst wird sie geschlossen. Ich weiss noch nicht wie - wahrscheinlich hat die SPAM-Attacke vorgestern auch meine Datenbank explorieren lassen.

     @Hiker@social.fedcast.ch vielleicht mal mit pgtune psql optimieren? damit kannst du ein bissl managen, wieviel ram das zeig frisst. ich glaub aber nicht, dass der SPAM für die ram sache verantwortlich ist.
     
     zum speicherplatz: benutzt du media proxy oder so? der sollte zwar in der regel nicht so viel wegfressen, aber kann durchaus auch ein problemchen sein. aber auch hier glaube ich nicht, dass der spam von gestern, die ausschlaggebende menge an daten sein sollte, da es nur text ist. wenn es der spam gewesen wäre, dann klingt das so, als ob du die plattengrösse echt etwas knapp bemessen hast. bin mir nicht sicher, ob ein reindex auch den platz verkleinern könnte

     MIX_ENV=prod mix pleroma.database prune_objects --vacuum >> /dev/null

     Die Dank ist in der letzten Nacht von 22GB auf 31 GB gewachsen.

     RejectNewlyCreatedAccountNotesPolicy hilft gegen den spam
     database prune_objects task um alte remote posts los zu werden
     postgress config ändern und ram limitieren
     pg-repack verwenden und damit db neu bauen (vacuum baut db nicht neu, indexe und daten könnten fragmentiert sein), alternativ geht auch backup machen db löschen und backup restoren
     Und zu guter letzt, ram von pleroma limitieren wenn immer noch nötig
