     So, in the last year, we've seen, historically..
     .. high greenhouse gas concentrations
     .. high surface temperature and energy imbalance
     .. high ocean heat content and acidity
     .. high sea levels
     .. low Arctic sea ice
     .. high Greenland and Antarctica ice mass loss
     .. high glacier thickness loss
     .. not so high area burned in the US (a positive!)
     .. high global tree cover loss due to fires
     .. high number of billion-dollar floods in the US
     .. high number of extremely hot days.
     Not a good scorecard.
