Saturday night I watched Apocalypse Now 40th Anniversary edition with my kids. It was great; a much darker movie for our time than I remembered. The recognition of the coming end of neocolonialism and the world that comes in its aftermath is stark. We spent the rest of the weekend thinking and talking about it.

Evan Prodromou (evan@cosocial.ca)'s status on Wednesday, 09-Oct-2024 11:59:43 JST Evan Prodromou @jamesmarshall it includes the full French colonialist storyline, which definitely underlines the dark 21st century themes, but it cut out some other things, like the second appearance of the Bunnies. I think I've seen 3 different versions and this was the one that affected me the most.
