     LAST POINT: the domain nor the islands are being given to the people of Chagos. it's Mauritius the new colonizer.

     @blogdiva it’s some shit that he was just handed control over .io by IANA.

     The tv domain is marginally better, because Tuvalu at least sees some of that money, but their country is in danger of ceasing to exist due to climate change, but ICANN doesn’t give a shit. If the ISO removes their 3166 code, they will follow suit.
