Im totally freaking out about this hurricane Milton. Trying to prep as much as possible. An hour inland from tampa. Trying to also not overwork or overstress. Feeling anaphylactic. Deep breaths. Just gotta go one thing at a time. Brush teeth. Pickup prescriptions and see if I can get gas for generator. Should I bring my ducks in for the storm? Is that a bird flu risk then?

ZorroCOVID (themaskerscomic@forall.social)'s status on Monday, 07-Oct-2024 22:58:47 JST ZorroCOVID I have 2 weeks of water, food, meds, and a portable power box with solar recharge. I think we will be ok. We are not in an evac zone or storm surge area. I've never had this high of wind before though .. projected cat 3 or 4 at landfall. We shall test if this house is truly built to cat 3 wind standards.

ZorroCOVID (themaskerscomic@forall.social)'s status on Monday, 07-Oct-2024 22:58:48 JST ZorroCOVID What if i put them in a back room, close the ac vent, towel under the door, with a cr box in that room... There's 9 ducks. I have 3 crates, so they can be in their crates in that room. I may plan for it but if it seems like it's not going to be so bad then just leave them outside. Why am I stressing about my ducks, I should be stressing about us! Ay ay ay.
