   Opal Lee, known as the grandmother of Juneteenth, celebrated her 98th birthday early. The National Juneteenth Museum hosted the celebration, highlighting her significant contributions to the community. The museum, currently under construction, aims to open by her 100th birthday in 2026.

   “We can’t rest on our laurels,” said Lee, who already has big plans for 2026.
   “(The museum) means that people all over have come together to make the nation aware of our oneness...👇
