   Whenever I see an image load in slowly from top-to-bottom, I am reminded of what Google took from us with JPEG-XL.

     @noel there is still some minor skirmishes about that going on. mozilla re-opened the ticket when safari launched jxl, though now the are hemhawwing about if someone advances the rust agenda by rewriting the decoder they would merge it (apparently the existing spoonfeed they were given isn't machiavelian enough or w/e)
