To see Palestinians as human you would first need to understand how your government has not only dehumanized them, but also how they've dehumanized you.

Successfully stripped of your innate sense of sympathy, thoroughly dispossed people present as enemies both of the state, and also to your identity as an American. Forcing you to view them, at best, as a nuisance, or more foolishly, as an existential threat. Weaponizing your idle consent to visit extreme terror and violence on the least of us.
