Meanwhile in Japan, the LDP has Go Go dancers at a Party, but the 'reason' is the best joke I have heard for a while:

'One of the organizers, Tetsuya Kawabata, later sought to defend the event by saying that the presence of the "go-go dancers" were intended to ensure "diversity".'

Hilarious and sad at the same time 😬

@Fripi i do have theories why there are these differences (after all, histories are very different of each of these countries, France differs a lot from Germany)
But like, do japanese people never get angry and fed up? What would happen if they suddenly do vote for another party? Why do they not? Like they do not even experiement or engage.
And that's why i don't understand. The Apathy.

@Fripi i know, freaking crazy fundamental asian christian cults 🙈
But there is still a difference. Korea has developed formalized forms of political protest and people are engaging in it, whereas in Japan seem to me like they just play dead.
And there is political power shifts through a change of political parties (see picture).
and a more recent event was the successful impeachment of Park Geun-Hye

        Park Geun-hye
Park Geun-hye (Korean: 박근혜; RR: Bak Geun(-)hye; IPA: [pak‿k͈ɯn.hje]; often in English ; born 2 February 1952) is a South Korean politician who served as the 11th (18th presidency) president of South Korea from 2013 to 2017. Park was the first woman to be elected president of South Korea, and also the first female president popularly elected as head of state in East Asia. She was also the first South Korean president to be born after the founding of South Korea. Her father, Park Chung Hee, was president from 1963 to 1979, serving five consecutive terms after he seized power in 1961. Before her presidency, Park was leader of the conservative Grand National Party (GNP) from 2004 to 2006 and leader of the Liberty Korea Party from 2011 to 2012. She was also a member of the National Assembly, serving four consecutive parliamentary terms between 1998 and 2012. Park started her fifth term as a representative...

@bookstardust well, the reality in Korea is not much better than in Japan though.

@Fripi japanese politics somehow suddenly feels like a crazy mafia scam.
And instead of people getting angry, they just act like it didn't happen and give in to even more political apathy.
And i just can't understand how.
If the same thing happened in Korea, at least Social Media would blow up (they also would have most likely protest movements on the streets)
