     @dogzilla the result is not going to be some biblical mass exodus from Florida. Insurers will pull out because the real estate values are too high, everyone with a mortgage will be screwed, banks will be at risk, and real estate will have to crash back to early 2000s values so insurance companies can return to the market.
     
     This should cause a ripple that drives real estate down across the country.
     
     So cross your fingers and hope this does max damage, we could all benefit from the market crashing back to sane levels

     @feld I don’t know if you have AppleTV+, but this episode of their excellent speculative show “Extrapolations” takes place in Miami in 2047. I liked it quite a bit.
