There are two types of Mozilla whiners right now:

Fork Firefox! (I have no idea how much work this is)

    and

Fork Firefox! (I know how much work this is and I'm not volunteering to do it)

@feld I'm the rare third type of whiner - "if it's not Firefox or thunderbird, stop wasting your time on it!"

Although this means we'll never get an AI-powered Seamonkey with integrated NFT micro-payments, I'm sure they'll save lots of cash

@feld Don't know how but the Pale Moon/K-Meleon devs are just built different to still be moving along, even after the backlash against multiple design changes has long past. And that's not touching on independent browsers like Netsurf and Dillo

IMO the only ideal option for Firefox is a fork that rips out at least half of the newer HTML/CSS/JS features and continue with some form of XHTML 2.0 or whatever the smolnet majority is on.

@HarneyB The developer has custom forks of a bunch of libraries that are out of date and some of their changes introduced vulnerabilities. I haven't looked at it for a few years but I don't expect much to have changed

Is this from branching from such an old version? Or a lower quality of their work? C++? Something else?
It's certainly in a better condition than the Blink/WebKit/Gecko forks that fell out of buzzier discussion. But those two are closer but still 'not it' (though K-Meleon itself is pretty good for what in essence Netsurf for 32-bit Windows)
