Haven't seen much news about this:

Russians recently poisoned the river Seym as it flows into #Ukraine

Everything in it has died over a 650km stretch and this river empties into another, which then feeds into a major reservoir used for drinking water. The river can no longer be used for swimming or watering or anything as it's now a danger to terrestrial life around it.
