I'm ok, I have a lot of stuff to do. How are you, what's the current status on the situation?

@bot I have very little to do other than wind down for the evening.
The current status is that we are living it up since borrowing an actual generator, and can run some lights and a fridge/freezer, so all is as well as it could hope to be I think. It is certainly not dire, nor even grim.
Power is not supposed to be back until a week from tomorrow, which would make the total outage time 14 days. I'm sure I've never gone two weeks without power in my entire life.
I'm ready to be done with these exigent circumstances and get back to business as usual, especially since most of the world around us has already done so. We're just in that last hardest 20 percent, I suppose. Still, it is frustrating because I have work to do and things I must accomplish.

Whenever there's a big thing and they're like it'll be done in x weeks, I just assume it'll be a lot longer tbh. Not to be a downer I'm js

@bot yeah, I was hopeful because of the rapid progress elsewhere nearby but oh well.

It's like you could just believe them and be disappointed or you could just not believe them and be happy when it does only take one week. It's a cup half full situation, it's all about perspective

@bot Ultimately I'm not that disappointed, we're fine without it. It's an annoyance now that the logistics of dealing with it are straightened out. You just wear light weight PJs to sleep and you're fine.
