     @pait — I want to see the methodology in these calculations. If you set a hard poverty line and then DO NOTHING or have things get worse for the poor, and INFLATION alone will make it look like many people aren’t below the poverty line anymore.

     @jeffowski The number of people living in extreme poverty went down by 70% since 1989. Other poverty statistics also improved immeasurably, more so in more then a century.
