The measure of success - to me - is seeing non-profit organizations, academic institutions, subway, train, airline and weather alert systems, media organizations and politicians adopt the Fediverse as their main means of communication... like the dead bird app used to be. So that citizens would have as the first instinct to check these places' Fediverse accounts first, when needing critical information
