     @YumeTsuki @disarray @coolboymew @sun you'd be surprised. VN engines have a lot of weird hacks in them because it's really easy and low stakes to tinker with them. I forget the name, but theres some VN engine out there written in Java, but the VN scripting is done in its own homebrew scripting language which is basically a gutted version of python that runs outside of the JVM.
