after listening to ham radio operators doing disaster relief work in western NC this weekend, I'm thinking it would be a good idea to get licensed

but I live in a rural area, and the closest in-person classes are two hours away, on a night I've already got a standing commitment

does anyone in the #hamradio community have thoughts about this online option?
