@jessica you’ve received a lot of really good (and some unusual) advice. As someone who tends to ‘catastrophize’ and make up worst-case scenarios, what helps me is consciously thinking about the positive outcomes. And forcing myself to think about best-case scenarios. It takes the edge off the panic. Good luck!

jessica (jessica@beige.party)'s status on Sunday, 29-Sep-2024 23:16:40 JST jessica So, I have the most stupidest case of anxiety (extremely minor issue, already have a plan to resolve, gazillions of people have had the same issue and there's plenty of advice online including step one being "lol, it's not a big deal"), and I don't want help with the root cause.
What I need is help shifting the anxiety as it's been wedged in my oesophagus for nine hours now.
I've done all the standard things you're told to do, so I'm asking this: what unusual thing helps you deal with your anxiety?
