Antti Metsänkylä (antmetsa@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 29-Sep-2024 00:37:28 JST Antti Metsänkylä I've never seen those in public parks.
But in the park of Ainola, the house, where the composer Jean Sibelius lived with his wife Aino.
There are two benches, about 30 meters from each others. There the old couple used to sit in summer evenings. No words needed.

Kaunisjärven paska Charlotta (menneisyytesi@eliitin-some.fi)'s status on Sunday, 29-Sep-2024 01:00:47 JST Kaunisjärven paska Charlotta @hj @kaia there are homeless people in Helsinki, not an awful lot but still too many. And drunken people also occasionally fall asleep on benches even though they have homes.

Kaunisjärven paska Charlotta (menneisyytesi@eliitin-some.fi)'s status on Sunday, 29-Sep-2024 01:22:44 JST Kaunisjärven paska Charlotta @hj @kaia sorry, we were talking about Finland in general, of course there are some homeless in every city in Finland. I’ve seen those single benches in Helsinki.
Most housing services are for sober people so alcoholics and addicts are often the ones who aren’t able to get or accept the help they need. Just saying that homelessness does still exist.
