Candace Owens just released a video that found a bunch of public records and family announcements contradicting Kamala Harris' book about her family history. It's not confirmed or anything but it's pretty compelling tbh. The records themselves are clearly the right ones because all the birthdates and relative names (survived by, brother of, cousins so-and-so) match up with her book. What doesn't match up is that her stated grandparents don't have a marriage certificate together (this is not unusual though they could have gotten married somewhere else or just never officially married), but they do have marriage records to other people completely unmentioned in her book, including her grandfather to a woman who appears to be white-passing (Owens calls her white, I think she looks like she could be a little mixed.)
There's apparently other evidence that this is wrong, I wouldn't draw conclusions from this yet because I have done genealogy before and you can be super sure about something and find one little piece of information that changes everything. If you took what Owens said as correct (which you should NOT do, yet), I think it would mean that Harris is Indian and white without black and fabricated her black ancestry? I don't actually know anything about her so I don't know.
It's probably shit-stirring to share this but oh well, not even saying it's true.
