   fedifrens, I'd like a script to identify user accounts that have not been active for X months or whose instance is gone. I'm following over a thousand accounts, but I presume at least a third no longer exist.

     Cleaning up old accounts in the DB might seem like a good idea, but this has to be done with special care as these accounts have activities associated with them and might have other data as well. Removing just the accounts might leave behind dangling links, it might also cause these activities to be retrieved again, it might not cause immediate problems, but eventually it might render your DB unusable.

     @m0xee I don't wanna remove the activities, merely identify which accounts are gone, so I can unfollow them. I have difficulties finding specific followers I want to tag.
     
     groups would solve that (groups :cry_cirno: )

     Ah, I see… just cleaning up the list of people you follow — yes, that won't cause any issues and the query probably won't be too hard, but I'm not in the mood for SQL today 😅
