   I don't think SHIT is hiring right now, despite the dozens of open positions being posted everywhere per organization.

     @GossiTheDog Microsoft has open posts in every major city in the US (but remote tagged) and I actually don't think they're hiring that many IR Engineers.

     @GossiTheDog I was already hesitant to even apply, but now that I have I'm more annoyed than hopeful.

     I've never remotely touched an org that large, but I know their shit really well (I feel.) and I'd love to learn more as they "make security top priority."

     I'm basically now firing off my resume at every possible SOC, Detections/EDR, Threat hunting, DFIR, whatever position I can and I just truly think no one is actually hiring.

     @GossiTheDog As far as I can tell, hundreds of applicants on every open position within the first days is just "normal" for a while already.

     That being said, most of these candidates were unqualified for the position and would've required visa sponsorship. Easy to filter out back then.

     I did apply, but that was almost a month ago now. That shit got filled or my resume wasn't even looked at lol
