   So this is a great example of what white queers do.

   When all this happened a few weeks ago, I addressed the part that I got wrong and spoke about why.

   But, as people who centralize their whiteness over everything else, there is a conservative effort to focus on the part they deem is important while ignoring the entirety of the situation.

   There is no mention of the comments I made about the aftermath of that situation where I reflected a bit, nor any mention of the admin of tech lgbt enabling racist abuse against me for going on a year now because I exposed one of their mods as the flashpoint for the hate campaign against #TheBadSpace, who even admitted they were wrong.

   None of that matters to this person because they want to ignore what they reason is not important: constant harm against Black folks.

   This a sterling example of how racism and the comfortability of hateful people is the core principle of people who constantly profess to be progressives.

     Vanta again doubles down on her whiteness here.

     Even though I addressed the situation and acknowledged my missteps, it’s not good enough for her.

     She wants me to grovel and beg for the forgiveness of a serial abuser because that’s what an ‘apology’ is for a white supremacist.

     I go into context at length about what happened, and what is still happening, from my perspective, but she completely throws that out and calls it ‘minimizing’ while still not even addressing the history of harassment I talk about out.

     You see how that works? You see how no matter what I say or do it’s not good enough because my harm and abuse simply does not matter?

     That’s racism folks. Pure and uncut dehumanization that simply disregards the context of Black and Brown folks and how we are targeted in this space.

     Have you ever seen her this upset about people and instances known to perpetuate hate?

     Have you ever seen her this angry and dismissive of anyone not Black.

     Think about that. Think about the rage she shows in defense of a serial harasser. Look at the hostility she shows.

     That’s a dead giveaway concerning what she values.

     The point that drives this home is her line stating she cannot stand by while her alleged fellow queers are dehumanized.

     Let’s break this down.

     Black and Brown folks on here are dehumanized, disrespected and attacked here on a daily basis, but I rarely see Vanta have the same level hostility for those that attack us that she has for me when I defend myself from a serial abuser.

     This leads me to believe she only cares about white and white passing queers not the queer community as a whole especially as she is hostile in her defense of a person that is a known harasser of Black folks and is in community with spaces known for targeting Black and Brown communities.

     There can be no forgiveness and understanding for the targets of bigots but unending empathy is shown for white and white passing folks who have a history of harm.

     Despite all of the radical verbiage she has in her profile, she is trafficking in the same ole anti-Blackness as every other bigoted community we know and track here.

     She’s made her choice in terms of who she wants to make a safe space for.

     And it does not include Black and Brown folks.

     As the saying goes, when people show you who they are, believe them.

     Vanta could have easily reached out to me so we could talk about it but made the choice to take the word of bigots over the person that has actually been experiencing abuse for as long as I’ve been on the fedi.

     This choice is not an accident.

     This is a specific choice by a person who values whiteness over community and context.

     This is how white supremacy perpetuates itself.

     It forgives the constant harm of bigots easily and without examination while demonizing the people who are the targets of it and ignoring the context of how we deal with it.
