   I am actually flabbergasted at how slow twitter is. How the fuck does anyone even use that site? Any time I try to click on a link it takes like 30 seconds to load.

     @soapone it's been like that for months but I wouldn't be surprised if ISPs were intentionally throttling it for political reasons. The KF debacle revealed these companies will do anything on a whim if they just feel like it and they're absolutely above the law

     @RustyCrab sometimes its because the most direct internet rout to you is borked. there was at least one case where I couldn't access one specific website. did a tracerout and the path just died somewhere in the middle, not a fault of the server either because other people could access it and isitdownforeveryoneorjustme said as much for a third reference.

     crappy ISP routing is sometimes at work for things like that.

     @soapone yeah but this is like every time for every IP. It's showing loading instantly so it's not a connectivity issue. It's just taking eons to actually fetch the billion useless resources instead of the characters of text
