Mastodon™ also need to improve its #IPv6 search in the admin section.

We should be able to search IPv6 addresses with less segments (as IBM calls it [1]).

Some examples (randomly typed):
* ff12:458a:d9a0::e1cb
* 2380:3fab:*:*:*

Another option is to allow CIDR notation search.

I think using * (asterisk) for #IPv4 search is also not possible (I rarely have a need for it). But for IPv6, we need above because more and more spammers are discovering it's not easy to search for all their “sleeping“ accounts using IPv6. (Again, at least in Mastodon software.)
