@notjustbikes I would honestly benefit from this, too, because I hope to do some touring including NL, so it would be a great resource!
I've only cycled in Cyprus (juuust starting to introduce segregation but shared road sections are terrifying because no one looks for cyclists, the only place I've been thrown over a car), the UK - mostly London (rewards aggressively defensive riding) and rural parts of France (much more chill, but honestly it's mostly club riders out here + village pavement users).
It sounds like the US people are mostly unfamiliar with traffic signalling and how to navigate mixed-use areas.
Being generous, I guess they maybe don't have those things where they're from, if their individual cities were very car-orientated.
I swear local traffic rules pamphlets should be made available for people to pick up at international travel hubs.
