@jon Isn't hydrogen trains one of those extremely stupid ideas that are 100% built on hype and not actually knowing the costs involved? Are there any circumstances you'd not rather just electrify the lines?

With a bit of work,the hydrogen units can probably be converted to battery trains for short branch lines. Not all wasted.
