    Two interesting things here:

    - it seems like both side are anting up on policies for individuals and small groups, which is good ( most of it is lies, but shows where people are feeling )
    - 40k seems way low as an average.

@Meat_Mom @sickburnbro Plenty of small businesses just resell slop marked up a little.

@Mamako @Meat_Mom but that's what I'm saying, even a place like that. You need to sign a contract for space, you need to outlay for employees, equipment, etc.

Nail salons have those crazy machines. I could bet those are .. well, lets just go see. 2 grand, times 3-4..

@sickburnbro Average small business is probably a nail salon or payday loan thing that takes nothing to start and doesn't provide any actual value

@realman543 their idea is to make the entire US into California style startups. While that *sounds* good, there are many reasons that isn't possible.

@sickburnbro You know what you could do instead Cameltoe? You could just not tax them as much. But we don't want to do that, do we?

@spiral_power @Mamako @Meat_Mom the reason I'm saying this is .. it feels like that statistic must be loaded with a lot of fake businesses that are "cheap" to start.

@sickburnbro @Mamako @Meat_Mom yeah, barebones tiny coffee shop would take about 20k in equipment alone, not counting all the other things it takes to start

I have a suspicion they will somehow direct this towards "immigrant entrepreneurs" to help them with scams and potentially also suffocate white owned small businesses.
